Munster have triumphed over Sale this afternoon in their final match of this year's Champions Cup, managing 65 points to 10 at Thomond Park.
There were two tries for Simon Zebo and Andrew Conway, with one apiece for Pat Howard, Duncan Williams, Tommy O'Donnell and the returning Keith Earls.
It was Tom Arscott with the only try for the visitors, with Sale failing to get a single point after Nick MacLeod's conversion in the 12th minute of the game. Munster, meanwhile, racked up 52 unanswered second-half points.
Munster finished third in Pool 1, with today's win a solid end to what has been a disappointing campaign for Anthony Foley's side.
In the Pool's other game this afternoon, it was Clermont 18-6 Saracens. Top-placed Clermont progress to the quarter-finals with 22 points, while Saracens have also qualified.
Events in Pool 4 this afternoon have conspired to hand Leinster a home quarter-final against Bath in the European Champions Cup.
Former leaders Toulouse were beaten 27-26 at Montpellier, while Bath ended up topping the pool on 19-points with a 20-15 defeat of Glasgow at the Rec.
In the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup Racing Metro will host Saracens, Toulon are set to face Wasps, Clermont Auvergne will take on Northampton Saints while Leinster will welcome Bath.
