Jonathan Sexton could miss the start of Ireland's Six Nations campaign.
French paper L'Équipe say Sexton has been banned from playing by a medical committee until February 14th after he suffered a concussion in Ireland's win over Australia on November 22nd.
Ireland's second Six Nations game falls on Valentine's Day against France at the Aviva, a week after the opening round trip to Italy.
The IRFU's medical team are to assess Sexton themselves either late this month or in early January.
