Saturday rugby round-up: Disappointment for Munster and Leinster in Wales

It has been a disappointing day for the Irish provinces in the Guinness Pro12 with Munster and Leinster both losing matches in Wales.

There was a final score of Scarlets 23 - 13 Leinster at Parc y Scarlets.

Leinster led by 10 points to 8 at the break, thanks to a try from Ben Te'o. However a try from Jordan Williams put Scarlets ahead early in the second half.

A penalty from Gopperth narrowed the gap between the two teams to 2 points, but a try from Rory Pitman proved the decisive score for the home team.

Earlier, Ospreys were 14-point winners against Anthony Foley's Munster side.

There was only one try for each team - courtesy of Donnacha Ryan and Dan Baker - but six successful penalties and a drop goal from Sam Davies gave his team a clear a lead.

Final score at Liberty Stadium was 26 to 12.

Munster currently sit at second place behind Glasgow, with Ulster in third. Leinster and Connacht are in fifth and sixth places respectively.
