Ireland have secured their place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup after a 42-point win over Samoa.
Joe Schmidt's side's bonus-point win was enough to guarantee progression to the next round but they must wait for the Scotland-Japan match to be resolved before knowing their quarter-final opposition.
If the hosts match against Scotland is cancelled due to storm Hagibis then Ireland will face New Zealand, however, a Scotland win could mean Ireland play Rassie Erasmus' South Africa in the next round.
Bundee Aki's red card for a high tackle was Ireland's first-ever red card at a World Cup but much of the match reaction has been about a much-improved Ireland side.
Of course we’ll have the standard keyboard warriors having a slabber about everything done by World Rugby and every referee...
But really like the way Nic Berry communicates to the players and his assisting officials. Very good referee. #IREvSAM #RWC2019 #RWC静岡 #RWC福岡— Darren Cave (@darrencave13) October 12, 2019
Job done after 50 minutes and Johnny Sexton wrapped up in cotton wool for next week. His importance to this team cannot be overstated, he was excellent again tonight - scoring two tries for the first time since 2014#RWC2019 #IREvSAM

Still no World Cup try from Earls or Stockdale. An interesting insight into the power game and lack of real width. Something Ireland will have to look at ahead of NZ and or SA. #RWC2019 #IREvSAM

Joe Schmidt with massive selection decisions to make ahead of next weekend's @rugbyworldcup quarter-final. Jordan Larmour has made serious case for starting at 15. Savage competition for places in back-row too. Have dealt with sending off really well #RWC19 #IREvSAM #Ireland
