Munster director or rugby Rassie Erasmus says he is confident Tyler Bleyendaal will be fit for this Saturday's Guinness PRO12 Championship semi-final clash with Ospreys.
Munster welcome the Welsh side to Thomond Park this Saturday at 6.15pm and are hoping to have kicker Bleyendaal back in the starting line-up.
The 26-year-old has been recovering from a bicep injury in recent week, but Erasmus said the rest - due to Champions Cup and Challenge Cup fixtures - have given him more rest time to recover.
"I was a bit worried last week and Tyler still has to come through this week," he told reporters on Monday afternoon at Munster's press conference in UL.
"Because we had a 14 day turnaround and it's not an injury that requires surgery, if he comes through today and tomorrow he's good to go."
The break also prompted worries that other players would not be match fit for Saturday's game, but Erasmus says this is something that simply needed to be "managed".
"It did worry me with some players, I guy like Rory Scannell hasn't played a lot in the last month or so and obviously Conor [Murray] in the last two months.
"It's not really a problem I suppose, it's just finding the best way to manage it. Hopefully we've done that and the guys are ready."
Erasmus also noted that there would be added competition to those who were included in this summer's Lions Tour of New Zealand. Murray is just one of the Munster players who look set to battle for a starting position in Warren Gatland's team.
"I think in the back of their heads they'll know that they're competing with these other guys for a starting position. They'll be teammates with one another, but at the moment they'll be looking to have a real go at one another."
