Racing Metro have offered Jonny Sexton a new four year deal. The deal would see the 29 year old remain in Paris until June 219, shortly before his 34th birthday.
Sexton’s current deal expires in June and Leinster have never hidden the act they are interested in re-signing the player. Racing are also keen to tie Sexton down longterm and coach Laurent Labit laid it out that Sexton has a clear choice to make now. “He has in his hands a contract for four more seasons at Racing,” Labit said.
“The deal for him is simple. Either he signs and ends his career here or he returns to Ireland.”
Sexton has previously admitted he never wanted to leave Leinster but Racing have since built their side around the Dubliner and the signing of 22 year old South African fly half Johan Goosen will lighten the intense workload Sexton faced in his first year in France.
