Pat Lam believes the fact that Connacht are still in with a chance of Champions Cup qualification is pleasing given the resource gap in the Guinness Pro 12.
The province face top-of-the-table Ospreys tomorrow at the Sportsground with the possibility of securing a playoff place or even getting an automatic spot.
Lam joined us on Off The Ball ahead of tomorrow's crucial date with destiny and highlighted the resource gap.
"We're in a competition, where not all is equal. If you took any businessman or any neutral and you lined up the resources of the 12 teams and you said 'this team has this and this team has that', we know where we sit," he said, going on to highlight the disparity in squad sizes.
"Don't forget that we were underdogs clearly when I bring up the resources. The more successful we are, and when we win certain games, the expectations go up. I've said it right from the very beginning: every time we play, we are fighting way above our weight. But the bottom line is we're still in with a chance to still make it and that's the pleasing thing."
