Connacht's recent history has included agonising defeats to top sides, but on Friday it was the province's turn to come out on top in one of those contests.
Kieran Marmion's try helped Pat Lam's side to a famous 10 - 9 win over favourites Leinster at the Sportsgrounds and means Connacht have now made it three wins from three in the Pro 12 so far this season as their ambitions billow like a sail off the Western coast.
Lam told Oisin Langan how he wants his players to draw on the intangible forces of that local area as a form of inspiration.
"Part of the reason why you go to Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo and Galway - and we do a lot of work there - is to tell the boys at the end of the day, when you get down to these sorts of moments, you got to know who you represent and who you're standing next to," said Lam, who also discussed the refereeing decisions that went against Connacht and the importance of shape tactically.
