Ulster back Stuart Olding has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The centre requires a second right knee reconstruction that is also set to rule him out of Ireland's World Cup campaign.
The 22-year-old was making his return from an elbow ligament injury during Friday's win over Cardiff when he injured his knee, leaving him requiring a second major knee surgery in 18 months.
The recovery time is believed to be eight to nine months, which means the World Cup is highly unlikely for the player.
Olding has been capped twice for Ireland.
