O'Connell to miss out on Munster's Treviso Tie

Paul O'Connell is a late withdrawal from the Munster squad heading to Treviso for tomorrow’s game.

The second row will miss the fixture due to personal reasons.

Coach Anthony Foley has made eight changes to the team that lost to Edinburgh in Thomond Park last Friday.

James Cronin returns to the front row, and is joined by hooker Duncan Casey and tighthead Stephen Archer.

In the second row, Dave Foley is promoted from the bench to a starting position. He will be partnered by Billy Holland, who makes his second start in as many weeks.

CJ Stander retains his place as blindside flanker, and Tommy O'Donnell will make his first start of the season at openside.

Wexford’s Robin Copeland is set to make his competitive debut for Munster at eight.

In the centre, Ivan Dineen makes his season's first start at inside centre, with Andrew Smith moving to outside channel.

In another first, the fixture also marks fullback Felix Jones’ debut as captain.

Connacht Rugby coach Pat Lam has made three personnel changes to his side to travel to Edinburgh Rugby tomorrow: Robbie Henshaw and Kieran Marmion both come into the starting line-up at centre and scrum half, while Darragh Leader moves to full back.

Up front, Willie Faloon is the only change to the pack, coming in at openside flanker to a back row manned by captain John Muldoon and last week’s try-scorer Eoin McKeon.

Aly Muldowney, Craig Ronaldson and Fionn Carr all come on to the bench for tomorrow’s game in the Scottish capital.
