The Lions head to New Zealand this summer for the first time since 2005 and with accommodation prices soaring, some locals have started a campaign to "Adopt a Lions fan" during the tour.
The invitational side is unique to rugby and while fans in Ireland and Britain get to follow their team every four years - fans in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa only get to welcome them every twelve.
All three are fantastic touring destinations but the visit to the reigning back-to-back world champions New Zealand has been one of the most anticipated tours for quite some time.
With over 20,000 Lions fans expected to converge on Aotearoa in a few months time, the scramble for beds, transport and tickets is in full swing.
New Zealand isn't the biggest country in the world and despite hosting the 2011 Rugby World Cup, the fans were spread around the two islands. A Lions tour is a plague of thirsty Europeans moving in large numbers from city to city and thus has seen local prices soar in June and July.
In response, the locals have set up an unofficial page to help the touring hoards by opening up their homes for the duration of the trip.
