Former Leinster, Toulouse and Ireland forward Aidan McCullen says that Isa Nacewa's return to the province is a huge boost on and off the park .
Coach Matt O'Connor says while the player has not played since retiring, he has kept himself in good shape and has been in regular contact with the coaching staff.
Nacewa, who will tuern 33 in July, has been working with Auckland Blues as mental skills coach and last played for Leinster in the Pro 12 final in 2013.
Mc Cullen says Nacewa's increased skills set off the park will be a benefit to Leinster.
"That did not exist 10 years ago. That didn't exist five years ago. Players were lucky to have a mentor if they had one. But there was certainly no mental capacity, it was all about the gym. If it was indeed about the gym, it was all about your diet etc and rugby has moved on so much in recent years that Isa Nacewa coming back is a great move," he said.
