McGrath cited over alleged stamp

Leinster’s Jack McGrath has been cited by an independent commissioner for allegedly stamping on an opponent during the Blues’ game against Ulster at the RDS on Saturday last.

The prop's hearing, which will take place before an independent disciplinary committee, will be held later this week.

The incident in question could have taken place during the second-half of Leinster’s victory when McGrath appears to have made contact with Rory Best.

BBC Northern Ireland brought attention to the contact with Best in their post-match analysis of the Guinness PRO12 clash.

Meanwhile, Leicester have announced that fly-half Owen Williams has signed a new deal with the club.

It's understood to be a two-year contract extension with the Premiership outfit.

Williams was thought likely to return to former team Scarlets in order to improve his chances of playing for Wales in this year's Rugby World Cup.
