Luke Fitzgerald says that he expects to be fit for the start of Ireland's World Cup campaign.
The winger is currently recovering from surgery on a shoulder injury that saw him miss the end of Leinster's season.
But he says that he is confident that he will be fully recovered in time for Ireland's World Cup warm-up matches in August.
"With the timeline, it's disappointing I wasn't able to help out Leinster in the last two games, but as the doc said, if I was going to be available for them, I'd be really pushing it. It was the easier decision time-wise, in terms of being available for the first warm-up game if I'm in the squad, so I was happy I got it done and it's been a long-standing issue," said Fitzgerald, who was speaking at today's launch of Cantebury's new rugby training wear range ahead of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
