British & Irish Lions head coach Warren Gatland was forced into a couple of late changes ahead of Wednesday's game with South Africa 'A'.

Owen Farrell was drafted in at out-half after Dan Biggar sustained a "minor ankle sprain" in training on Tuesday.

Farrell will partner captain Conor Murray in the half-backs.

Winger Josh Adams is the other man to drop out, as he will be joining his partner via Zoom to witness the birth of their first child.

Adams' absence sees Anthony Watson move to the left-wing, with Liam Williams starting at full-back.

Addressing the alterations, Gatland said, "Dan’s got a minor ankle sprain which is not worth risking, so Owen comes in at 10.

“We’ve always said family comes first, so naturally Josh drops out as planned to be with his wife. We wish them both our very best wishes for an easy delivery.”

There's a 7pm kick-off in Cape Town, with the game live and exclusive across the OTB Sports network.

Commentary comes from Neil Treacy and Connacht and Ireland out-half Jack Carty.

Earlier on Wednesday it was confirmed that tour captain Alun Wyn Jones will be returning to the squad, having recovered from a dislocated shoulder.
