Further assessment required on CJ Stander injury

Munster have confirmed that Ireland international CJ Stander will require further assessment on an ankle injury sustained in the European Rugby Champions Cup win over Toulouse.

The South African born back row scored a 48th minute try as Munster beat the French Top 14 side 41-16 at Thomond Park to seal their place in a semi final against Saracens on April 22nd.

However, Stander suffered an ankle sprain and was withdrawn with 15 minutes to play.

That injury will need to be assessed again.

Ireland scrum half Conor Murray will also have his shoulder knock monitored after missing the province's win over Toulouse.

But there is better news regarding Peter O'Mahony and Dave Kilcoyne after both received dead legs.

Along with Keith Earls who has a back injury, that trio are all set to be reintroduced to training this week.

Out half Ian Keatley is also due to return to training after a knee injury.
