Leinster have made it two wins from two in Champions Cup Pool 2.
Seven Ian Madigan penalties saw Matt O'Connor's side grind out a 21-16 victory away to Castres in what was a physically exhausting game for both sides.
Castres grabbed an early lead thanks to a try in the opening minutes of the game from Saimone Taumoepeau and a conversion from Geoffrey Palis.
However, that was to prove the only try at Stade Pierre-Antoine on this October Sunday, with the rest of the game's points scored through penalties.
Leinster's only point-scorer Ian Madigan put Leinster ahead at half-time thanks to three penalties. However, Castres managed to sneak ahead again in the second half with three penalties from Geoffrey Palis at 42', 53' and 56'.
It was Madigan to the rescue, though, with four penalties in the last twenty minutes allowing Leinster to walk away with a narrow five point victory after a surely draining match.
The other game in Pool 2 kicks off at 5.15 and is an all-Premiership meeting of Wasps and Harlequins.
