Harry Byrne and Rory O’Loughlin are both set to miss Leinster's United Rugby Championship with Scarlets at the weekend.

Byrne requires further assessment on a hip injury he sustained in the first half of their 36 point win over Zebre Parma at the RDS on Saturday.

Rory O’Loughlin meanwhile is still suffering from the shoulder injury he picked up against Dragons on 3rd October and will receive further assessment this week.

In positive news for the province, head coach Leo Cullen confirmed on Monday afternoon that Jordan Larmour (groin) and Adam Byrne (hamstring) came through the game against Zebre with no issues and will train as normal this week.

The pair were influential in the game as they made their returns from injury, scoring three tries between them.

Josh Murphy will also return to training with the squad this week after recovering from a calf injury.

There was also further positive news for Jack Dunne who aims to return to full training this week as he makes his way back from an ankle injury.

Ciarán Frawley and Scott Penny picked up soft tissue injuries (dead leg) on Saturday and will be further assessed this week before a final decision is made on their availability for the game against Scarlets.

In other injury news, Munster's worst fears were confirmed on Monday with the news that RG Snyman has suffered another cruciate ligament injury.

The South African lock - who had only just returned from an ACL - limped off in the second half of their 43-13 win over Scarlets on Sunday.

He lasted only nine minutes following his introduction before being withdrawn after appearing to land awkwardly.
