Head coach Matt O'Connor and Leinster have parted company this morning.
The Australian joined the province coming from Leicester Tigers where he was assistant to Richard Cockerill, replacing Joe Schmidt in 2013.
He won the Pro12 last season in his first year in charge but this year has proven to be a disappointment at the RDS.
The province missed out on the play-offs this season finishing in fifth place, seven points outside the top four.
Leinster fared better in the Champions Cup losing to eventual champions Toulon in the semi finals, after extra time in Marseille.
According to the Irish Independent, the Leinster players were told this morning about the decision. O'Connor is expected to leave his role immediately with Leo Cullen in pole position to take temporary charge.
