Leinster have confirmed that Josh van der Flier will be back for their Pro14 semi-final match with Munster, in news that will excite Leinster fans.

Ireland flanker van der Flier was expected to be out for the remainder of the season with a groin injury sustained during the country's win over France in the Six Nations.

While it appears that Leinster's Champions Cup final with Saracens might be too soon for van der Flier, the province are hopeful that he will be back in contention for the match with rivals Munster on 18th May.

In other injury news, it appears that hooker Sean Cronin will be fit in time for Saturday's showpiece, having recovered from a calf injury sustained against Toulouse.

Rhys Ruddock is set to be available for the match after completing the return to play protocols.

The bad news is is reserved for Jamison Gibson Park, who picked up a hamstring injury against the Glasgow Warriors.  He will be checked ahead of a final decision later in the week.
