We're all feeling a little bit emotional right now, understandably emotional no less. Things were tense enough with the scores standing at 6 a piece, but then the France number 8 did this to our Johnny. The hit left Sexton vomiting on the pitch before being removed and replaced by Ian Madigan.
Johnny Sexton takes a huge hit from Louis Picamoles ending his game in Cardiff. https://t.co/6BAKOAXupn

And now it looks like captain Paul O'Connell is in trouble. The Munster man was being attended to at the stroke of half-time and has since been replaced by Iain Henderson. We all have a bit more sweat on the brow than usual.
But let's focus on the positives. To his credit, Ian Madigan has done quite well. He's bagged himself a penalty before half-time and he's kicking thus far would get the seal of approval from Sexton himself. But that won't plug the unrelenting flow of fear from the Irish public who have taken to the most alleviating tool at their disposal - social media.
We lead France 9-6 at the break.
Horrible to think that we have probably just witnessed the last appearance by the great Paul O'Connell in a green jersey! #IREvFRA

Stretcher is out, this is terrible. I think we're witnessing the last moment of Paul O'Connell's international career.

Shout out to the Irish guy on Castle Street last night shouting about how Sexton would 'rip the French apart'... It seems not

HT - Ireland leading 9-6. Sexton out, O'Connell suffering with a hamstring or knee injury. This is bad.

Disaster for #ire losing O'Connell on top of Sexton. Disaster.
