"It's great to see young lads just standing up to them and being counted"

Munster advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup after beating Toulon 20-19 courtesy of a late Andrew Conway try.

Speaking to Off The Ball's Oisin Langan after the game, Munster legend Mick Galwey said the result and performance were up there with the best he'd seen a Munster side produce, and praised the returning Irish internationals for their quality.

"It was up there with the best. When you're down six points, and your back's to the wall, and you have the balls to go for a win like that. It's the sign of a great team".

"The likes of CJ Stander, Peter O'Mahony, and Conor Murray, they started where they left off at Twickenham two weeks ago. They came back and upped the whole team's performance".

While Galwey noted a number of players for their performances, he honed in on the younger stars for stepping up to the plate on such a massive occasion.

"It was the younger guns that I was really impressed with. Alex Wootton, Jack O'Donoghue, Sam Arnold, I thought they were amazing".

"In fairness to Toulon, they're a phenomenal team. They've got phenomenal players, they've got all the money, but it's great to see young lads just standing up to them and being counted. They were a credit to Munster".
