All of Ireland's matches in the Women's Rugby World Cup this year will be broadcast on free-to-air television.
After reaching the semi-finals in France in 2014, Tom Tierney's side will hope to go at least one better, this August with games taking place in Dublin and Belfast.
eir Sport and RTE will share coverage of the competition. eir Sport will show all the games from the tournament live. They will also sub-license all of Ireland's games in the tournament to RTE, with the state broadcaster also broadcasting the final from Kingspan Stadium in Belfast.
Both companies will show Ireland's games in place of TG4 who broadcast games in 2014. Four years ago, the Irish-language channel broadcast Ireland's three pool games, including their historic win over New Zealand, the semi-finals, the third-place playoff involving Ireland, and the Final.
World Rugby chairman Bill Beaumont was delighted to see greater access to games for fans in Ireland. He said the tournament "is set to be the biggest and best and today’s news will ensure matches are seen and heard by as many fans as possible in Ireland."
The tournament begins on August 9th in UCD, with Ireland facing Australia that evening at 7pm. The team play Japan on August 13th, with the final pool game against France being played on August 17th.
Belfast's Kingspan Stadium will host the Final on August 26th.
