Ireland have lost 25-3 to their New Zealand counterparts in their Pool C clash at the U20 World Championships in Italy.
Despite Nigel Carolan's side taking an early lead after out-half Joey Carbery converted a penalty, New Zealand dominated tonight's match in Viadana.
Winger Tevita Li scored two tries for the Baby Blacks, while loose forward Blake Gibson also crossed the line to help the two-time champions to open up a massive lead that puts them on course to claim a place in the semi-finals.
Ireland's focus will now switch to the 5th place playoff.
