Ireland start the defence of their Six Nations title away to Italy this afternoon.
The Italians have only beaten us once in the Championship and that came in Rome two years ago.
Kick off today is at 2:30pm at the Stadio Olimpico.
Ireland winger Tommy Bowe knows it is important to start both the game and the tournament well.
