Ireland made a statement with their opening win against Canada, and if Twitter is anything to go by, then the whole nation was watching the game.
There are plenty of positives for Schimidt's side to take out of an impressive display, with tries galore and some brilliant individual displays.
Most of the people in Ireland took to social media to share their opinions on the game, and were giving their support to the Boys in Green, as well as talking about some other things that didn't have all that much to do with what was going on out on the pitch.
Canada's just a bigger duller Carlow. #IREvCAN

The only chance Canada would have here is if Ireland agreed to play the second half on ice.

Canada have to suffer the indignity of producing Justin Bieber AND Nickleback, you wouldn't begrudge them a try like. #IREvCAN #RWC

There can be little doubt that Ian Madigan asks for shorter shorts than the rest of the team. Massive respect. #IREvCAN #RWC2015

Meanwhile, our own Nathan Murphy was at the game and ended up sitting within earshot of one of the biggest Paul O'Connell fans that the world has ever known. Thankfully, he kept us all updated on all they had to say.
"You're an arsehole, you're a prick, you're a c*nt" The girl behind me wasn't happy with that yellow for her beloved "Paulie" #IRE #RWC2015

Crazy fan update - "I don't know why Paulie doesn't just tell Heaslip to f*ck off, he's a complete waste of space" #IRE #RWC2015
