Clermont forwards coach Jono Gibbes has dispelled any rumours of a move to Leinster after extending his contract with the French side.
The former Leinster forwards coach enjoyed a successful spell at the club between 2009 and 2012, when the Irish province secured three Heineken Cups in four years.
There had been growing speculation whether he would take over as Leinster head coach after Matt O’Connor left the club last month following a disappointing league and cup campaign.
“I’m very happy to be able to continue our collaboration for such a period [three years], where we’ll have the chance to further build our relationship and help the team towards the highest level possible” he said after penning the new deal.
“It’s also a family decision because we really like the Auvergne; the personal side of things is exceptional, as well as the sporting side. For me, it’s been a really positive experience and I’m really happy to continue with it.”
The Auvergne based club are currently preparing for their Top 14 semi final against Toulouse this Saturday.
