France beat Scotland in Paris

France beat Scotland in an entertaining match as the weekend’s Six Nations action came to a conclusion in Paris.

France broke the deadlock when Camille Lopez slotted an early penalty before Stuart Hogg dotted down in the corner after a period of Scottish pressure.

Lopez kicked the home side out to a 6-5 lead before Gael Fickou scored after a mutli-phase attack in the Scottish 22. Lopez converted from the touchline to give Les Bleus a 13-5 advantage.

Finn Russell slotted two penalties before half time to leave it 13-11 to the hosts at half time.

Scotland were out of the traps quickest in the second half and Tim Swinson scored under the posts after a Scottish break away. There was a bizarre incident when Finn Russell missed the conversion in front of the posts after he was given the wrong kicking tee. Why he didn't drop-kick it boggles the mind.

France dominated possession for most of the second half and Lopez landed three more penalties to give the French a 22-16 win. They head to Dublin in two weeks time while Scotland welcome Wales to Murrayfield.
