Former Munster and Leicester back Johne Murphy has announced his retirement from professional rugby.
The 30-year-old Kildare native was a member of the Ireland 'A' team that won the Churchill Cup in 2009, and also represented the Ireland Wolfhounds and the Emerging Ireland team.
Murphy left Munster in June, having won over 90 caps and scoring 60 points. He also won just short of 100 caps for Leinster between 2006 and 2010.
Murphy announced his decision on Twitter:
I've lived the dream. It's been a blast! Special thanks to @leicestertigers and @munsterrugby pic.twitter.com/3tuHIrTplE
