In the end, it was a comfortable scoreline for Ireland's second string against Georgia.
But which players staked their claims in Joe Schmidt's thoughts for more high-profile matches?
Former Ireland head coach Eddie O'Sullivan and Trevor Hogan joined Off The Ball to look back on yesterday's game with an eye to the future.
Ian Madigan had a strong game at fly-half, and Eddie put the scrutiny on the area of game-management.
"The problem for Ian is he's not really getting to do it at Leinster so it's very hard to put a tape measure on that part of his game and as long as he's not playing 10 for Leinster - and that's less likely now with Jonathan Sexton coming back - then it's going to be hard to make an assessment on that. So to be honest with you, the jury is out on that."
But when it comes to kicking at least, Trevor believes Madigan is pretty much on a par with Sexton.
However, in terms of players who have a realistic chance of playing against Australia, Eddie does not think that "anybody made enough of an argument" to play themselves into the starting XV.
But Trevor believes that Dave Foley perhaps, may have done enough to earn a place on the bench at second row, given how Schmidt talked him up.
Trevor noted areas of concern in the 49 - 7 win.
"There were moments of concern, especially when we got into the '22 or with accuracy at the ruck, that we weren't really being ruthless," said Trevor.
