Former IRB world player of the year Schalk Burger is on the bench for Saturday's test against Ireland at the Aviva.
The back-row endured a tough couple of years and returned to playing in September 2013 after 18 months out due to illness and injury.
The 31-year-old was part of the South African squad that beat New Zealand last month and has experienced highs and lows with the Springboks including winning the World cup in 2007.
Burger, who’s now playing his rugby in Japan, spoke to us about South Africa's talented out-half Handre Pollard, whose two tries against the All Blacks shows the evolving style of the side under coach Heyneke Meyer - who you may hear in the background!
