Brian O’Driscoll firm scores €3.6m profit

Accumulated profits at former-Irish rugby international Brian O’Driscoll’s principal trading company, ODM & Promotions Ltd, have climbed to €3.6m according to its latest accounts.

During 2014 the value of the firm's investments increased from €1.6m to €2.1m - while its cash reserves fell from €1.37m to €942,777.

The accounts relate to the international centre's final-year as a professional rugby player.

Since hanging up his boots the Leinster-man has joined Newstalk's Off the Ball as a co-presenter, he has also worked as an analyst for BT Sports.

Brian O’ Driscoll established ODM & Promotions at the age of 22 in April 2001 - a little over a year after his iconic Stade de France hat trick against France.

Meanwhile, accumulated profits at O’Driscoll’s former teammate, Jonny Sexton’s JAS Management & Promotions Ltd jumped by just under €400,000 last year to €861,000.

The firm's cash pile grew to €506,749 - while the value of its investments grew by almost 500 percent, increasing from €49,410 to €239,853.
