Would Rodgers' Leicester beat the title-winning side?

It's fair to say the past five years are Leicester City's greatest decade as a club.

While they had enjoyed a decent spell in the '60s including FA Cup final appearances and a League Cup win and then won that trophy twice more in the late '90s and early 2000s, 2015-16 was by far their apogee.

The Foxes shocked the Premier League and also the football world that season as they won the league just a year on from avoiding relegation.

After a few indifferent campaigns in the interim, Brendan Rodgers' has inspired an excellent 2019-20 so far.

Cloud Nine?

The club sit second in the table and have now won eight-in-a-row. Few would bet against them making it a ninth game in succession on Saturday when they welcome Norwich to the King Power Stadium.

That was one of the matches we previewed on the Paddy Power Half Hour. But Phil Egan, Enda Coll and I also touched on another hypothetical.

How would Rodgers' team measure up in a one-off match against the title-winning Leicester side?

Of the current squad, only Jamie Vardy, Wes Morgan, Kasper Schmeichel, Marc Albrighton and Christian Fuchs were key figures four years ago. And some of the key names from that campaign like Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante are plying their trade elsewhere.
