REACTION | Liverpool lift Premier League trophy for the first time

Liverpool lifted the Premier League trophy at Anfield for the first time, after a 5-3 win over Chelsea.

Since Liverpool won Division One in 1990, great players have come and gone. The club has won three FA Cups, four League Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup and two Champions Leagues, but never a Premier League.

With 30 minutes to go in the match, fireworks were blazing outside Anfield in celebration, in what was a thriller against Frank Lampard's Chelsea.

Even an empty Anfield stadium couldn't upset Liverpool's hour of glory, as 30 years of hurt finally came to an end.

It was all Liverpool in the first-half, taking control early on with stunning goals from Naby Keita, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Gini Wijnaldum scoring in the first-half.

Olivier Giroud scored just before half-time, but there was a long way to go for Lampard's team to be guaranteed a Champions League spot next season.

Robert Firmino increased the gap, scoring his first Anfield goal this season. However, Chelsea responded with goals from Tommy Abraham and Christian Pulisic to put one between the teams in an all-out thriller.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put the final touches with a fifth Liverpool goal, sending Klopp and his men into the Kop end where they were presented with their medals and the Premier League trophy.

Sir Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool's manager when they last won the title in 1990, was presented the trophy.
