Don’t get caught offside, Wear your mask | Team OTB

The OTB Sports team are urging you, the people of Ireland, to wear face coverings or a mask in public to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Our ad campaign titled, ‘Don’t get caught offside, Wear your mask’ arrives as many people in Ireland are still not wearing face coverings in public, despite health experts saying it can slow the spread of the virus.

Speaking on OTB Sports earlier this week, professor of Biochemistry at Trinity, Luke O’Neill has said that wearing masks can be the most powerful weapon in stopping the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Masks are key as we all know. There is loads of evidence that tell us wearing masks are a great weapon.

"It will stop the virus which is the absolute main thing and anywhere crowds gather, you should wear a mask.”

Wearing a mask will help protect the health of your loved ones, your neighbours and strangers!

For everyone’s safety and with the prospects of society returning to normal, we urge the public to follow all health guidelines, which include wearing masks and face coverings.

“The biggest danger is close contact. That’s a high risk. The second thing is if more and more people are packed in together and third is shouting. The virus comes out of your mouth when you shout.

You can mitigate all this by wearing a mask,” said Professor O'Neill.

Don’t get caught offside. Wear a mask.
