A player has been withdrawn from the US Open, which starts on Monday, after testing positive for coronavirus. The USTA released a statement which confirmed the news.
The player, who has not been named, is showing no symptoms but must now isolate for 10 days.
A US Tennis Association statement said: "A player has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been withdrawn from the tournament. The player is asymptomatic. The UTSA, together with its medical advisors and infections disease specialist from the Mount Sinai Health System, confirmed a positive test for a player.
"In accordance with New York State Department of Health requirements, and in alignment with DC guidelines and the tournament health and safety protocols, the player has been advised they must self isolate for at least 10 days."

Six of the women's top 10 have opted not to travel to New York to play at the event amid the global health crisis, with the tournament set to be held without spectators and with safety measures in place.
World number one Ashleigh Barty, world number two Simona Halep, defending champion Bianca Andreescu, Elina Svitolina, Kiki Bertens and Belinda Bencic will not feature.
On the men's side, defending champion Rafael Nadal has pulled out while Roger Federer is still recovering from injury.
However, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are all set to play.
The event is taking place inside a 'safety bubble' which includes rigorous testing and restrictions on the movement of players, their support staff and tournament officials.
The tournament gets underway on Monday, August 31st with the finals set for the weekend of September 12th and 13th.
