Carl Frampton dominates Tyler McCreary in Las Vegas

Belfast's Carl Frampton saw off Tyler McCreary as he recorded a unanimous decision victory in Nevada last night.

The Northern Irish fighter proved too much for the 26-year-old American as his cruised towards a points decision victory in the Cosmopolitan Casino of Las Vegas.

Frampton extended his record to 27-2 despite going into the fight with a number of fractures in his hand.

In all honesty the Belfast man never looked troubled throughout the duration of the fight, dominating with his footwork, smoother, slicker hands and excellent head movement.

The former two-weight world champion landed some devastating blows to the body in the sixth and ninth rounds as the unbeaten McCreary felt the canvas on two separate occasions.

Tyler McCreary managed to see out the 10 rounds as Frampton took a decisive 100-88 scorecard.

WBO Super Featherweight champ Jamel Herring is now a likely opponent for "The Jackal" as he looks to claim yet another world title.

Jamel Herring entered the ring after the fight and Frampton praised the WBO Champion on their first in person meeting.

"It's the first time I've met Jamel. My impression of him before I met him is that he's a nice guy, and he lived up to my impression," said the former two-weight world champion.

The Northern Irish fighter confirmed that he is only interested in fighting for a world title next time out.

"I just want to fight for a world title next; I want them big fights. I would love the opportunity to fight Jamel. If it happens in Belfast, great - If I have to go to New York, I'm also up for that."
