Breaking down the potential Ireland starting XV against France

With the Six Nations kicking off this weekend it's that time of year where everyone starts to pick the side they want to see out on the field.

Granted, we all have our favourites, and we've been debating the best 15 we can get onto the pitch at the Stade de France as Ireland take on Les Blues this weekend, but it finally appears we have a little more clarity to the side.

Speaking to Off The Ball's Ger Gilroy and Eoin Sheehan, The Irish Independent's Ruaidhri O'Connor was in studio to breakdown what he expects to be the line-up for this weekend's clash.

According to O'Connor is would seem that Rob Kearney has seen off competition from Leinster teammate Jordan Larmour at fullback, and Bundee Aki is expected to make his competitive debut alongside Robbie Henshaw in the midfield.

Josh Van Der Flier is expected to be given the nod ahead of Jordi Muphy and Dan Leavy at flanker, and will be joined in the back-row by Munster's CJ Stander and Peter O'Mahony, while Leinster's 21-year-old James Ryan is anticipated to start ahead of Devin Toner.

Expected Ireland 15 to start against France this weekend:

Rob Kearney, Keith Earls, Robbie Henshaw, Bundee Aki, Jacob Stockdale; Johnny Sexton, Conor Murray; Cian Healy, Rory Best (capt), Tadhg Furlong; Iain Henderson, James Ryan; Peter O'Mahony, Josh van der Flier, CJ Stander.
