SOCCER - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Atalanta suffered late Champions League heartbreak in Lisbon last night.

Representing Bergamo - a city that's lost more than three-thousand people to COVID-19 - they lost 2-1 to PSG in the quarter finals.

The Parisians only levelled the game in the final minute, before Eric Maxim Choupo Moting netted an injury time winner.

PSG will face either Atletico Madrid or RB Leipzig in Tuesday's semi-final - they meet tonight in the Portuguese capital.

Kick off is at 8pm.

SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

Rangers have gone top of the Scottish Premiership.

They beat St Johnstone 3-0 at Ibrox last night.

Elsewhere it ended Motherwell 2 Livingston 2,

And Ross County 2 Kilmarnock 2.

LINFIELD

UEFA confirmed Linfield's passage to the first qualifying round of the Champions League last night.

The Danske Bank Premiership champions were awarded a 3-nil win in their preliminary round tie with FK Drita.

Two members of the Kosovar team tested positive for COVID-19, leaving them unable to play.

Linfield will face Legia Warsaw next Tuesday.

SNOOKER

Anthony McGill will take a 6-2 lead over Kyren Wilson into this morning's session of their World Championship semi-final in Sheffield.

This afternoon will see five-time champion Ronnie O'Sullivan resume 5-3 up on Mark Selby.

It’s a race to 17 frames in the semi-finals at the Crucible.

GAELIC GAMES - DUBLIN GAA

It’s understood Dublin senior football selector Paul Clark has taken the decision to step away from the role.

Clarke was involved with the team between 2005 and 2008 during Pillar Caffrey's reign, before Jim Gavin brought him in again in 2018.

The Irish Independent is reporting that Ballyboden St Enda's director of coaching Brian O'Regan has joined Farrell's backroom team.

There's an eight-race card at Leopardstown this afternoon with the first off at 1.

Meanwhile, there's a seven-race card at Tramore this evening with the first off at twenty-to-5.

GOLF

Shane Lowry, Graeme McDowell and Seamus Power are in the field for the Wyndham Championship on the US PGA Tour in North Carolina.

That starts later today.

The Celtic Classic is this week's European Tour event in Wales.

Gavin Moynihan, Cormac Sharvin, Jonathan Caldwell and Paul McGinley are among the starters.

All three of this year’s Majors will play out behind closed doors.

Augusta officials confirmed yesterday that no patrons will be allowed on course for this year’s Masters.

The tournament was originally scheduled for April, but has been delayed until November due to COVID-19.

Last week’s PGA Championship was played without fans, while September’s US Open in New York will also be played behind closed doors.

Augusta chairman Fred Ridley says the potential risks of allowing fans to attend are "too significant”.
