Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is facing up to three months out in order to have shoulder surgery later this month.
The 23-year-old was part of the England squad during Euro 2020 and came off the bench late in extra time against Italy in Sunday's final before missing a penalty in the shootout.
Rashford could be back training with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad within five weeks of the surgery but it may be as late as October before he's ready for first-team action.
United start their Premier League campaign at home to Leeds on August 14th and follow that with games against Southampton, Wolves, Newcastle before the next international games.

Rashford said last month that the shoulder problem was one of a few issues he felt affected his form towards the end of last season and ultimately it cost him a place in the England team.
The United academy graduate was racially abused for missing his penalty against Italy and a mural of Rashford in Manchester was also defaced.
On Monday, Rashford issued a statement apologising for his penalty miss but said he "will never apologise for who I am".
The damage has since been repaired and people have left hundreds of messages of support there in solidarity, while hundreds of people gathered there on Tuesday for an anti-racism demonstration.
Rashford has been the driving force behind a campaign to help tackle child food poverty in the UK during the pandemic and forced Prime Minister Boris Johnson into a U-turn over providing free school meals for under-privileged children.
