Manuel Neuer has firmly committed his future to Bayern Munich by signing a new deal at the club.
The experienced goalkeeper has extended his contract at the Allianz Arena to the summer of 2023.
Neuer is the latest Bayern stalwart to sign a new deal. Thomas Muller also committed to 2023 last month.
Negotiations with the former Schalke keeper had been protracted, causing speculation that he could be about to leave in the summer after nine seasons in Bavaria.
"During the weeks of the shutdown for the coronavirus pandemic, I didn't want to make a decision because nobody knew if, when and how Bundesliga football would continue," Neuer told Bayern's website.
"It was important for me to continue working with our goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic.
"Now this has been resolved, I look to the future with great optimism. I feel very comfortable and at home in Bavaria. FC Bayern are one of Europe’s top football clubs."
He's been an ever-present for Bayern this season, and was between the posts for the leaders' first game back in the Bundesliga - a 2-0 win at Union Berlin.
"The contract extension is an important sign for FC Bayern as well as for Manuel", said Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.
"Together we have created a win-win situation. That’s what was very important to Manuel and to us.
"Manuel stands for the continuous success of FC Bayern, for responsibility and world-class standards. I am delighted about our continued work together."
A World Cup-winner with Germany in 2014, Neuer has also been voted the world's best goalkeeper on four separate occasions.
He's won eight Bundesliga titles, and the 2013 Champions League.
One of his predecessors between the posts at Bayern was Oliver Kahn, who is now an executive board member.
"I can easily put myself in the situation Manuel is in", Kahn said.
"We understand the direction Manuel wants to take in this phase of his career and what’s important to him. He’s sent a strong signal with this extension."
