Mourinho keeps Parrott in reserve as Bayern see off Spurs

Ireland striker Troy Parrott didn't make his expected Champions League debut in Munich.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho had named the teenager on the bench for the trip to Bayern Munich.

Parrott had made his Premier League debut days earlier as a sub against Burnley.

And although, Spurs went into the Bayern game knowing they could neither top Group B nor miss out on the last-16, Mourinho chose not to call upon the Dubliner.

Tottenham would go on to lose 3-1 in the dead rubber game. Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller and Philippe Coutinho got the Bayern goals, while Ryan Sessegnon scored Spurs goal in the first half.

Olympiakos edged Red Star Belgrade 1-0 in Group B's other game to take third place.

Man City Fight-Back

Meanwhile, Manchester City came from a goal down to win 4-1 at Dinamo Zagreb.

Dani Olmo gave the Croatian side a 10th minute lead with a volley.

But Gabriel Jesus netted a hat-trick in a 20 minute spell from the 34th minute to turn the game around.

Academy product Phil Foden added a fourth for Pep Guardiola's side who top Group C.

Italian side Atalanta join them in the knockout rounds in their first Champions League campaign.

The Bergamo side had made a slow start to the group.

But a 3-0 win away at tournament regulars Shakhtar Donetsk saw Gian Piero Gasperini's side pip the Ukrainians and Zagreb by one and two points respectively.

Three-time European Cup finalists Atletico Madrid qualified second from Group D behind Juventus.

Diego Simeone's side beat Lokomotiv Moscow 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano. Coupled with Juventus 2-0 win at Bayer Leverkusen, the La Liga side progressed.

PSG thrashed Galatasaray 5-0 in Paris to top Group A on 16 points. Real Madrid finished off their group campaign with a 3-1 win at Club Brugge.
