Manchester United have been given a nice draw, at home to Colchester United at Old Trafford.
Holders Manchester City will travel to League One Oxford United.
And Everton will be at home to Brendan Rodgers' high-flying Leicester City.
The matches are to be held on the week beginning Monday December 16th, but there will be discussions around Liverpool's schedule as they are set to play in the Club World Cup in Qatar from December 18th.
The Reds, who lead the Premier League, are scheduled to face nine games in December, a significant test of Jurgen Klopp's squad.
The Merseyside and Manchester clubs have avoided each other for now, but there is the chance they could meet in the semi-finals.
For League Two Colchester, who knocked out Tottenham earlier in the competition, the trip to Manchester United is the draw of their dreams.
