Will Harry Kane see out the rest of his career at Spurs to become a true club legend, or is a move to Old Trafford or elsewhere on the near horizon?
The Englishman's future remains in the balance at this point, with a desire to win trophies undoubtedly something at the forefront of his mind.
However, Martin Lipton of The Sun told OTB AM earlier that getting rid of their star man now would be a final nail in the Tottenham coffin for both José Mourinho and Daniel Levy.
"If he sells Harry Kane, he doesn't last one defeat before the fans demand his head and that of the chairman, he [Mourinho] knows that.
"I don't think it will be this summer. [But] if Spurs don't get back into the Champions League and really come close to winning something next season, Kane will want to leave.
"I also think no Spurs fan would really condemn him for wanting to leave. I think there will be a view that he needs to go. Kane himself wants to stay at Tottenham and beat Jimmy Greaves' scoring record of 266.
"That would take a minimum of two seasons, probably two and a half seasons realistically if he stays fit and plays well.
"But if Kane leaves, who's going to score the goals? It's not easy to replace a 25-goal a season man. Even this season when he's supposedly not been playing that well, he has scored, for club and country, 30 goals in 35 games.
"This is in a so-called 'soft' season, a poor season. That tells you what sort of player [he is]. Now maybe there are a lot of goals for England in that, 10 in six, but nevertheless for Spurs he's scoring goals.
"He's got 13 in the league and another few in the Champions League etc, he's a goalscorer. You don't replace them easily."

"Kane has a choice to make over the next 18 months - medals or a statue. If he leaves he'll go to one of the best clubs in the world and win trophies, if he stays he should go on to become Spurs' and potentially the Premier League's all time leading scorer, and may well end up with a statue in a nice corner of Spurs' new stadium!"
And where would Kane end up if he was to depart north London? Nathan suggests Old Trafford remains the stand-out potential destination.
"Manchester United still looks the most likely option in the Premier League. Despite Anthony Martial's recent renaissance, he's nowhere near the quality of Kane. Greenwood and Rashford either side of Kane would turn United into instant title contenders.
"Manchester City have rarely been linked with Kane but are starting to look like a decent fit. Sergio Aguero is 32 and increasingly injury prone, Gabriel Jesus has quality but City need a ready-made world class player to replace Aguero, and Kane would fit the bill."
