John Giles says Manchester United can become a force to be reckoned with again, if Paul Pogba acts less like a "selfish bugger" and more like the World Cup-winning star he is.
Giles joined Nathan tonight after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side saw off Sheffield United yesterday evening at Old Trafford, with Pogba turning in another impressive performance.
"I don't think he's a general as such. But because of his mobility, he could do a big job there. I don't think he would be a master of it, but he could be a huge influence there.
"I don't think there's anywhere else for him to go. He's a big selfish guy, he doesn't care about anybody, in my opinion. He shows off on the pitch, but he can play and if he knows that he's settled at Manchester United then he could perform in the way we know he can.
"He's a selfish bugger, to be quite honest. He's only suiting himself all the time, he doesn't care about Manchester United. But at the moment, Manchester United is his best bet in his head.
"There's no doubt Pogba has been responsible for holding them back in a big way in my opinion, so if he gets him on side... it should be an honour to play for Manchester United.
"I'd say it would be fingers crossed from Solskjaer's point of view to keep him on side and to [have him] play as well as he possibly can. Then they definitely have a good chance of improving for next season."
John also spoke about Bruno Fernandes, and he gave his view that the Portuguese international is more of an attacking player than an out-and-out midfielder.
"I don't think [even with] Fernandes and Pogba they're anywhere near as strong as Liverpool in midfield. Fernandes, in my opinion, is not a midfield player.

He'll be a goalscorer and he'll do certain things, but I watch him as much as I can... he's not a midfield player.
"You watch him playing, he's always up in front of the ball. He never starts anything from midfield, the number 10 position you'd call it now. He's very, very good - he picks out the right pass, he does the right things.
"In Manchester United's great days [Paul] Scholes was the man that did that particular job in a big way. Fernandes doesn't play in that position.
"Pogba plays in that position sometimes. Pogba we don't know... he's a gifted lad as we know . He might change his mood now because we have this virus, a lot of clubs won't have money. Real Madrid and Barcelona, who might be interested in him, mightn't be able to afford him. They mightn't be able to afford his wages!
"He's buckled down a bit and actually played quite well in the two matches he's played... but it's all attitude with him. Up to now he was looking to get away, he couldn't have been bothered!"
