Barcelona and Napoli to be played behind closed doors

The Champions League last 16-second leg between Barcelona and Napoli will be played behind closed doors due to coronavirus.

Officials from Barca and members of the Catalonian government met on Tuesday morning before confirming the decision.

The measure was recommended by the government and accepted by the club for "health reasons".

It comes as no surprise considering the second leg between Valencia and Atalanta at the Mestalla is set to be played behind closed doors because of coronavirus.

The same applies to the meeting of PSG and Borussia Dortmund in Paris on Wednesday.

The announcement also comes after Italy suspended all sporting activity until April 3rd in order to limit the spread of Covid-19.

Barca and Napoli drew the first leg 1-1 in Italy, with Antoine Griezmann cancelling out an opener from Dries Mertens.
