Juventus confirm Daniele Rugani has coronavirus

Reports are emerging this evening that Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Italian defender, 25, extended his stay with Juve earlier this season, and Juventus have confirmed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Serie A  club said that they are "activating all the isolation procedures required by law", as well as for those that have come into contact with him.

Rugani is "currently asymptomatic" of the virus.

The reports are as yet unconfirmed by the club, but Fabrizio Romano has strong contacts within the Italian game.

The country is in lockdown as the virus has taken hold, as the worst affected country in Europe currently.
