The WWE is recruiting rugby players, OTB AM has been chatting to Luke Menzies aka Ridge Holland, former-rugby pro turned WWE wrestler - and Rugby World features editor Alan Dymock who has been writing about this crossover potential.
Luke's path to the big show started with a childhood love of wrestling, and when an injury cut his rugby career short he found himself swapping rugby league for pro-wrestling.
He's currently sidelined with an injury while working his way through the WWE's NXT roster.
When COVID-19 hit it put the WWE's latest recruitment drive on hold, postponing plans to visit the UK, South Africa and Australia - three rugby strongholds.
However, they were clear when telling the magazine that the mix of physical attributes, teamwork and drive mean they are keen to hear from rugby players interested in a career with the promotion.
