Ian Garry continued his march toward the Cage Warriors welterweight title with a superb second-round knockout of Rostem Akman at Cage Warriors 121 in London on Friday evening.
Garry improved to 6-0 as a professional by stopping Akman, who has previously competed in the UFC, in the second frame.

After landing the finishing shot, Garry stated his intent to compete for the premier MMA organisation in the future.
"UFC, I am coming," the 23-year old from Dublin said.
Speaking with Edith Labelle of Cage Warriors after the bout, Garry reiterated his intention to take the Cage Warriors title before moving to the Las Vegas-based promotion.
"I have been saying this for weeks, months, years. This is what is happening. This is not out of nowhere. I have been saying this since day one.
"Since I joined this promotion, since my pro debut, I said that I am going to be the champ, then I am going to the UFC and I am going to leave a legacy.
"There is nothing changing that. Anyone who steps in my way is going to get put down and wiped out of it."

Since beginning his professional career in 2019, Garry has firmly established himself along with Derry's Paul Hughes, as Ireland's most exciting talent to watch in the sport.
On the other side of the tournament bracket, England's Jack Grant defeated Madars Fluminars by second-round submission, setting up a clash with Garry for the vacant welterweight title.
Despite having a healthy respect for Garry who is coached by veteran Chris Fields, Grant is confident that his grappling skills will prove to be the difference when the pair meet.
"I just want to fight the best in the world. I believe Garry is an absolute stud and I am excited to go against him," Grant said.
"I will strike with him but at the same time I believe my jiu-jitsu is by far one of the best on this show."
The promotion are yet to finalise a date for Garry and Grant to face off.
Cage Warriors wrap their final show of The Trilogy with CW22 on Saturday.
