Eddie O'Sullivan believes that Leinster are in 'scintillating' form, and that their ability to physically dominate teams is in danger of being lost in the praise for the province.
Eddie and Ruaidhri O'Connor of the Irish Independent joined Off The Ball for Monday Night Rugby with Eir Sport, and he was fulsome in his praise for the performance against Wasps:
"It was even a lot easier than we thought - we thought that Wasps would come to town and put up some kind of battle, but it was just one-way traffic.
"Leinster, on that sort of form, are scintillating. I don't think Wasps are actually that bad - although it's hard to argue that when you concede that many points - but I just think when Leinster get on top of you, you just drown very quickly."
There was no doubting who is the best rugby club team in Europe currently.
"Nobody can touch them at the moment.
"Leinster hadn't much on the board coming to half time, but they are just beating teams up physically. If you look at their play in the first half, there was nothing special about it, it was just physical confrontation.
"Their ball retention is phenomenal. Their percentile on ball retention at the breakdown is consistently 96% or 97%, which is extraordinary given how many rucks they have to contest."
